Role Description
Position Title: AV Technical Specialist (Extron Certified)
Location: Seri Iskandar, Perak

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AV Technical Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Audio Visual (AV) systems. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Extron AV Associate Certification and demonstrate strong technical knowledge of modern AV technologies and integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission audio, video, and control systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform installation of AV equipment including displays, projectors, video walls, audio systems, microphones, control processors, and switching equipment.
- Execute structured cabling works, equipment rack assembly, cable termination, labeling, and testing.
- Configure and troubleshoot Extron-based AV systems and associated hardware.
- Conduct system testing, performance verification, and quality assurance checks prior to handover.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV hardware, software, networking, and control systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system design documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients during installation and commissioning activities.
- Provide user training and technical support during system handover.
- Prepare installation reports, testing documentation, and commissioning records.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid Extron AV Associate Certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the installation and commissioning of Audio Visual (AV) systems.
- Proven experience working with commercial, corporate, educational, government, or public-sector AV projects.
- Ability to read and interpret AV system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with AV signal distribution, control systems, audio systems, display technologies, and networked AV solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in AV technologies, networking, or control systems.
- Experience with video conferencing platforms and unified communications systems.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and IP-based AV solutions.
- Experience with system commissioning and client training.
