Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our veterinary hospital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional medical, surgical, and preventive healthcare services to companion animals while maintaining high standards of patient care, client communication, and clinical excellence.
Job Description
Clinical Duties
- Conduct consultations and physical examinations for patients.
- Diagnose illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress.
- Provide emergency and critical care services when required.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure continuity of care.
Surgical Responsiblities
- Perform surgical procedures as required.
- Manage pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, patient safety standards, and surgical best practices.
- Monitor patient recovery and address any post-surgical complications.
Client Communication
- Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses clearly and professionally.
- Educate clients on preventive healthcare and treatment options.
- Maintain excellent customer service and client relationships.
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs and clinical protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinary nurses, assistants, and support staff.
- Participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, and continuing professional development activities.
- Support inventory management and controlled drug compliance where applicable.
Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary qualification recognized in Malaysia.
- Registered with the Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC).
- Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or eligible to obtain one.
Experienced Veterinarian
- Minimum 2 years of experience in small animal practice preferred.
- Experience in surgery and emergency medicine is an advantage.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
