Requirements
Possess a Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrate 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting or tax services role, preferably within a client-facing capacity.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and report generation.
Skilled in using Microsoft Word for professional document creation and Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.
Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation is a plus.
Experience with UBS Accounting Software is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to clients.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial dealings.
Willingness to work onsite at our Perai, Pulau Pinang office.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist clients with tax preparation and filing, including corporate and individual income tax returns, and stay updated on changes in tax laws and legislation.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions and managing vendor and customer relationships.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
Utilize UBS Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to perform daily tasks, generate reports, and present financial information.
Collaborate with senior accountants and tax advisors on complex accounting issues and client projects, contributing to problem-solving and strategic planning.
Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, explain financial data, and address their accounting and tax-related queries.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards in all aspects of work.
