To efficiently draw all assigned technical design drawings for proposals or confirmed projects (Proposal Drawings, Shop drawings, As-built Drawings and Fabrication Drawings)
To keep timelines for assigned projects and ensure proper drawing submission.
The Drafter is to support the sales and operations team with timely production of window and door CAD drawings. The Drafter’s secondary function is to maintain operations certification documentation.
1. Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets which are then checked by an engineer or an architect.
2. Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
3. Draft working drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection specifications, SLD or cross-sections of underground cables, as required for instructions to installation crew.
4. Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.
5. Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to be spanned by wire and cable.
6. Study work order requests to determine type of service, such as lighting or power, demanded by installation.
7. Visit proposed installation sites and draw rough sketches of location/installation and routine for necessary scoop given.
8. Determine the order of work and the method of presentation, such as construction or shop drawing.
9. Explain drawings to construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
10. Reproduce working drawings on copy machines or send to Printer Company to expedite submission to consultant/client/sub con and necessary parties.
11. Review completed construction drawings for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations.
12. Supervise and train other technologists, technicians and drafters.
13. Need good coordination and liaising with consultant/client/main con/sub con and on site people for all kind drawing related confirmation.
14. Use computer-aided drafting equipment and/or conventional drafting stations, technical handbooks, tables, calculators, and traditional drafting tools such as boards, pencils, protractors, and T-squares. (If necessary)
15. Checking quality of drawings and accuracy produced by others’ ensuring outputs meet the required standards. Manage coordination of M&E services within other disciplines, including clash...
16. Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Confer with engineering, technical or person in charge.
17. Creating and modifying electrical symbols and panel layout blocks using AutoCAD Electrical
18. Working in and modifying project BOM’s list to aid engineers in procurement process.
19. Provide adjustments in electrical drafts as required by installation staff.
20. To prepare project base operation manual book (OM) and compile it for client submission. For drawing overall.
