Maintenance and repair engineers focus on the optimization of equipment, procedures, machineries and infrastructure. They ensure their maximum availability at minimum costs.
1. To monitor plant equipment to ensure smooth process;
2. Sampling of product;
3. Taking log report / field log sheet;
4. Operate valves, pumps and process equipment’s;
5. Routine check on all machines;

· Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical problem of all machines and record down work on
the Machine Maintenance Record Sheet and Log Book.
· Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled thus removing catastrophic failure.
· Repair and service defective mechanical machine parts and equipment.
· Assist facilities technician to repair and service support equipment whenever required.
· Provide plumbing for compressed air, water, steam supply, HVAC and emulsion systems.
· Work closely with expatriates during installation and commissioning of new production
machines.
· Work closely with the electrical technician to troubleshoot and maintain a high
serviceability rate of all production machines.
· Maintain close relationship with production personnel to diagnose machine problems.
· Request and forecast whenever an uncommon spares required for maintenance work.
· Continuously give views and ideas to the maintenance department to improve and
upgrade maintenance standard.
· Provide assistance to Engineers to monitor machine downtime and to implement
corrective actions.
· Assist facilities Technician to monitor water supply to be the factory is not disrupted.
· Senior Technicians are responsible to plan and assign routine mechanical work to
technicians.
· Senior technicians will coordinate and ensure the PM work is carried out as required by
technicians.
· Senior Technicians are responsible to give assistance in planning for plant shutdown and
project work material requisition.
· Comply with all safety regulation and safety precaution while carrying out his duties.
· Carry out other relevant work required by superior.
· Maintain good housekeeping by actively involving in 5S activities.
· Assist Engineers to prepare machine downtime report by providing necessary information.
· Comply with all Safety and Company Rules and regulation and take necessary safety
measures while working.
· Adheres to all Repair and Maintenance Operation related procedures and quality system
requirements.
· Communicates timely on any work or quality problems to immediate superiors for
corrective actions.

Efficiency Improvement: Recommend and implement measures to enhance furnace efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and optimize fuel usage without compromising brick quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with production engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of furnace operations within the overall brick manufacturing process. Communicate effectively regarding any issues or improvements related to furnace performance.
Training and Documentation: Train new technicians or operators on furnace operation procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance practices. Maintain documentation such as manuals, maintenance logs, and operating procedures for reference and training purposes.
