• Perform basic laboratory test as per accordance with approved test method or procedures. • Assist Chemist or Laboratory Supervisor in carrying out laboratory testing, method development and compliance with QA/QC requirement. • Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule. • Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in workplace. • Adhere to group HSE safety procedures. • Ensure all relevant raw data or test information to be correctly and accurately recorded in the provided raw data sheet or manual logbook. • Perform field works such as sampling, sample collection and test observation at third party facilities. • To comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) local regulation (Occupational Safety and Health Act 1996, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974). • To report any hazard/risk, near-miss and incident in Crystal system. • Ensure that all Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) requirements are met. • Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements. • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management

Job Purpose The candidates will focus on product quality testing including but not limited to sample preparation, machine operation, trials and tests on Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) in accordance with stipulated guidance. Conduct technical activities such as conduct test/analysis and/or generate report based on customer's complaints, troubleshooting and so forth.

Job Responsibilities Perform routine tests/analysis on mechanical properties (e.g. tensile, hardness, abrasion, MVR, density, impact etc.), product extrusion quality, analysis (e.g FTIR, DSC etc) and so forth. Prepare test specimen by injection and/or extrusion. Maintain systematic documentation practice in compliance with ISO requirements. Ensure accurate and timely update of analysis reports and other documents. Develop work instructions and standard operating procedure and ensure strictly compliance with ISO requirements. Support internal/external ISO audit activities. Set up and revalidate methodology so as to ensure continuous improvement in product quality. Conduct lab analysis/retest, generate report and follow up on customers' complaints. Ensure proper storage and management of retention samples and raw materials. Troubleshoot and carry out basic maintenance work of lab equipment/machine. Carry out safety and housekeeping activities in the lab. Conduct Trial/test/analysis and provide support to R&D and Technical Support team if necessary. Ensure that all consumables are sufficient for daily operations. Any other duties as and when assigned by superior.

Job Requirements ITE/ Diploma/ Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or Engineering. At least 1 to 2 years working experiences in polymer industry, preferably in plastic/elastomer testing and processing. Possess good knowledge of chemicals. Basic laboratory knowledge and methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work effectively with inter- and cross-functional teams. Good team player and willing to collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve common goals. Meticulous with an eye of accuracy. Proficient in MS Office. Able to work under fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency. On-the-job training will be provided. Candidate must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
