Job Descriptions:
Assuming role as Company Specialist to ensure that electrical engineering studies and designs meet Company specification, industrial codes & standards, relevant safety guideline and best practices.
Collaborating with corporate technical assurance and cross-functional Teams, such as other discipline engineers, software developers, project managers, and technicians. They collaborate on projects, share information, and ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other components. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in coordinating efforts and achieving project goals.
Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems: Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment, wiring, and systems to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement. Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting electrical components.
Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose electrical malfunctions and faults using testing equipment and tools. Analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions to restore functionality. This may involve repairing or replacing defective components, such as motors, switches, circuit breakers, or transformers.
Scheduled maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for electrical systems and equipment. Plan and execute regular maintenance activities, such as calibration, testing, and replacement of worn-out parts, to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Compliance with regulations and safety standards: Ensure that electrical systems and equipment meet all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. Stay updated on the latest industry regulations and best practices and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Prepare reports detailing work performed, equipment condition, and any issues encountered. Generate documentation for compliance purposes and provide recommendations for system improvements.
Collaborating with other teams: Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, technicians, or engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams during equipment installations, upgrades, or modifications.
Knowledge in HVAC Hypochlorite, control valves, ESD/SCADA system associated with cause and effect matrix.
Upgrading and optimizing systems: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of electrical systems. Propose and implement system upgrades, modifications, or automation solutions to improve overall productivity and reduce energy consumption.
Training and guidance: Provide guidance and training to other maintenance staff or operators regarding electrical system operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols. Share knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree of Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 year in related work experience in Electrical Engineering, in oil and gas upstream industries or petrochemical industries.
Proficient in international codes and standards, and relevant government regulations pertaining to oil and gas production facilities.
Extensive knowledge of various electrical requirements including generators, switchgear, distribution systems, electric machines, earthing & bonding, lightning protection, protection systems, power system analysis, electrical safety, process safety, hazardous area classification, equipment selection, one-line diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, and other installation drawings.
Proficiency in using electrical analysis software such as ETAP or equivalent. Familiarity with Dialux/Luxion is advantageous.
Project management skills, ensuring successful execution of electrical projects.
Excellent planning.
Fluent in written and spoken English, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
