• Measure products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacture of products.
• Perform in-process inspection of all parts and/or assemblies in accordance with the requirements stated in the job packet (work instructions) or as otherwise stated on drawings or master sample.
• Monitor the assembly/molding process running in production.
• Basic shop tools (hand tools, drills, lathes and milling machine).
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of moulds and other tooling equipment to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards.
• Perform basic machining tasks, such as cutting, drilling, grinding, and polishing materials according to specifications outlined in technical drawings.
• Assembly and disassembly of molds, including inserting cores, cavities, and inserts into mold bases, and securing components using fasteners or adhesives. Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of molds as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to mold functionality, such as excessive wear, misalignment, or damage.
• Execute necessary repairs and adjustments to molds, including cleaning, polishing, and replacing components as needed.
• Perform SPC, visual and gauge inspection, and complete required forms.
• Complete understanding of blueprint, inspection of parts, Sunbank workflow, and routing systems.
