- Developing market knowledge and contacts for new materials and services;
- Lead and participate in Supplier On-site audit with Quality team and drive Quality team on follow up on any corrective actions submitted by supplier till closure.
- Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following the Strategic Sourcing process
- Identify, develop and deploy best practice supplier management, sourcing, procurement and supply chain practices
- Institutionalize procurement performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance
- Ensure compliance, cost savings and performance measures are established, tracked and achieved.
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts with suppliers and monitoring their progress with regard to service level.
- Develop suppliers strategy and maintain approved supplier list
- Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
Job Requirement:
Academic Qualification:
- Minimum diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in procurement/sourcing in manufacturing, preferably metal stamping, plastic injection molding.
Others:
- Strong negotiation skills and meticulous. Positive attitude, extrovert people at different level. Multi-task ability and can work under tight dateline for RFQ, NPI project coordination. Conversant in English/Microsoft Excel.
- Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
- Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
- Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
- Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock.
- Attending events, shows, and exhibitions to network with vendors and view new products.
- Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
- Updating all records of purchased products.
- Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.
- Attending and contributing to meetings with staff and other stakeholders.
