IT Technician – Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Technician to support and maintain the organization’s IT systems, network infrastructure, and basic CCTV operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations and provide timely technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and IT systems
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and related equipment
• Manage user accounts, email setup, and access permissions
• Support network connectivity including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and data backups
• Maintain and track IT inventory (hardware and software assets)
• Document technical issues, solutions, and system configurations
• Liaise with external vendors for IT support, procurement, and maintenance
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring CCTV systems (cameras, DVR/NVR), including troubleshooting basic connectivity and recording issues.
• Support CCTV footage retrieval and backup, and coordinate with vendors for installation, servicing, and repairs.
• Assist in IT-related projects and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/macOS) and networking concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and general IT support tools
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems is an added advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
