We are looking for an experienced STRUCTURAL (C&S) ENGINEER to join our team and take charge and oversee our construction projects.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the construction progression meets the company's direction with authority guidelines. In this role, you will divide your time, where you will be involved in designing and planning project details, and the construction site, where you will provide technical guidance to construction workers.
To excel in this position, you must possess hands-on experience with various construction methods and materials, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Strong project management and analytical skills are also crucial for success.
As a structural engineer, you will play a key role in the entire construction process, from initial design to final implementation. Responsibilities
Plan, design, and analysis of Civil & Structural engineering works.
Liaise with various parties such as Consultants, Contractors & Authorities from project inception to completion.
Responsible for the timely submission of plans and reports to Clients and Authorities.
Manage projects to meet the time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
Coordinate and monitor work progress at the site and attend progress meetings during the construction phase of projects.
Conduct periodic inspections of work-in-progress structural works.
Carry out Periodic Structural Inspection (PSI) works.
To assist in project coordination and oversee all structural/Civil works on site and ensure all related activities are carried out as per drawings
Attend meetings inclusive technical meetings (notwithstanding to minutes down the meeting if necessary) and site walks during the construction phase of the project
Keep track of test reports, tests, ST, Green Mark scheme, and constructability scheme
Document control and compilation in accordance to company's ISO standard
Prepare documents for Authority submission.
Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence
Follow construction safety guidelines and choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications
Monitor on-site construction processes and supervise construction workers
Prepare and allocate budgets
Track and report on project progress
Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management
Requirements and skills
Good degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore. Previous experience as a Structural Engineer or similar field
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD
Data-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skills
Good communication ability (both written and verbal)
