Job Description
1)Make periodic reports on the project's environmental performance.
Report any incidents or releases that may affect the environment to the relevant authorities.
2) Education and Training:
Conduct training sessions and workshops for project site workers on environmental best practices. Increase employee awareness of the importance of environmental compliance.
3) Risk management:
Identify potential environmental risks and develop preventive measures. Prepare and update an environmental emergency response plan.
4) Waste Management:
Ensuring that waste management at the project site complies with established standards and regulations. Promote recycling and waste reduction practices.
5)Water and Resource Management:
Monitor water use and ensure water sources are protected from pollution. Promote sustainable use of resources and reduction of waste.
6)Noise and Vibration Management:
Monitor noise and vibration levels at the project site to ensure they are within permitted limits. Take action to reduce disruption to the surrounding community.
7) Legal Compliance:
Ensure the project complies with all laws, regulations, and licenses related to the environment. Liaising with environmental authorities to obtain approval or feedback on specific issues.
8) Meeting
Attend meetings & do presentations (monthly) with JKR and Consultant
Requirement
1)Candidate in Environmental/Health/Engineering/Science or equivalent.
2)Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of Environmental and Experience working with JKR
3)Required language: Bahasa Malaysia & English
4)Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills
5) cepioeia/cesswi/cepswam or equivalent is advantage
5)Efficient and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
6) Location: Sandakan
Carry out health, safety, and environment audits on the site operations to assess conformity and effectiveness of company’s Health, Safety and Environment policies.
Prepare and execute the approved implementation schedule for the employees and workers.

Responsibilities: -
• Responsible for compliance of the Environmental requirements at work
• Responsible to update any new regulations announced by Department of Environment (DOE) / Natural Environmental and Resources Board (NREB) and other authorities relating to the Environmental
• Responsible to prepare all Environmental reports to Management and authority whenever required.
• Ensure the Environmental program and environmental control is implemented at project site
• Organise Environmental Meetings at work site
• Organise and conduct Environmental induction talk to construction workers
• Prepare and execute the approved implementation schedule
• Liaise with Environmental Consultant to carry out environmental monitoring / sampling at the interval as specified in the EMP
• Carry out regular NISA assessment / inspection at construction site and report any non-compliance or potential non-compliance on environmental issue to site team and contractor and coordinate the correction / correction action or prevention action.
• Flexibility regarding any other duties which may be required from time to time
Requirements: -
• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry
• Competent person with CePSWaM certification certified by DOE and DOSH
• Knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment requirements and compliances within the construction industry will be an added advantage
• Well-versed in OSHA 1994, FMA (Amendment) 2006, EQA 1974 and other related requirements
• Familiar with relevant international and Malaysian management systems
• Able to work independently, possess initiative and responsible.
• Able to work under pressure with least supervision.
• Computer literate and familiar with MS Office Application Software.
• Must be willing to work at Putrajaya.
