• Establish, maintain, and improve Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Radiation protection planning and control.
• Maintain emergency response management system and equipment.
• Work closely with headquarter pertaining to occupational safety, health and environmental matters.
Responsibility and Authority
1) To manage Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) activities for the companies including planning,
developing, coordinating, implementing and reviewing the programs, policies and procedures in
accordance with regulatory requirements.
2) To (assist and then) coordinate and improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) of
the company.
3) To Conduct internal EHS inspections to identify issues and improvements.
4) Investigate and review any accidents, near miss, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease and report to DOSH.
5) To improve on visual communication related to EHS subjects
6) To ensure corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence of accidents/incidents.
7) To coordinate the EHS action plan, follow-up the progress and report to the management.
8) To control the activities of contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, visitors at workplace on the Safety and health procedures and ensuring all employees are in compliance with safety policies.
9) To organize with other department the EHS training plan, in order to raise awareness and knowledge on EHS subjects.
10) To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
11) To support on the company certifications, such as EMS, HALAL, QMS, etc if required.
Competency
1) Must be registered/trained OSH Coordinator
2) Experience : At least 1 year experience in safety and health field.
3) Skills : Basic computer knowledge, good communication and writing skills in English and
Bahasa Malaysia
4) Training acquired: Background on OSH & Environment rules and regulations, ERT, First Aid.
