Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or construction materials.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking employees and partners).
Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
Collaborate with a seasoned procurement team to manage end-to-end purchasing for HPL and related track items.
Lead, guide, and mentor junior team members to achieve daily procurement and sourcing goals.
Plan and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow and optimal stock levels.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers to achieve the best value and quality.
Monitor delivery schedules and proactively resolve supplier or logistics issues.
Strategic Procurement Management
Identify cost-saving initiatives and enhance supplier performance strategies.
Evaluate and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure reliability and quality.
Drive continuous improvement and ensure full compliance with ISO standards and internal procurement policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects
Work closely with R&D, operations, and production teams on new product rollouts.
Support management on strategic projects and ad-hoc assignments that drive business growth.
