Experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, import and export procedures.

Good knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures, documentation, tariff classification, duties, taxes, and permit requirements.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.

Good communication and coordination skills in dealing with internal teams, clients, and external authorities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent shipment timelines.

Familiarity with controlled goods, permit applications, and trade compliance requirements.

Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations and shipping documents for import and export clearance.

Verify invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, certificates of origin, and related supporting documents.

Classify goods using the correct tariff or HS codes and ensure accurate duty, tax, and fee calculations.

Liaise with Royal Malaysian Customs, port authorities, freight forwarders, transporters, and clients on shipment clearance matters.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian customs laws, trade regulations, and company procedures.

Monitor shipment status and resolve clearance delays, documentation discrepancies, inspections, and hold issues.

Maintain accurate records of declarations, permits, payments, and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Advise internal teams or clients on customs requirements, restricted goods, and import or export procedures.
